Pupil Premium is a government funding initiative which aims to ensure that extra money goes to those children who could benefit from it the most. This includes children who have been entitled to free school meals and children who are, or have been at some stage, looked after by the local authority

At Our Lady & St Peter RC Primary School, we targeted the following incentives as effective use of the Pupil Premium funding.  These available initiatives not only target and narrow the gap in English and Maths, they also build children’s confidence and promote inclusion and engagement, therefore raising overall achievement.

We view each child as an individual and address their needs accordingly. In order to do this effectively, each teacher is provided with information on their pupil premium children which includes their individual barriers and how these could be overcome.

These incentives are continuously monitored as measured by a member of our Senior Leadership Team.
